Already as a 14 year old, at the end of the 80’s, Steff Bruin had his first experience as a DJ. Shortly thereafter he discovered his love for electronic music and started to buy his first vinyl records. Since 1994 he has been continuously playing as resident DJ for several promoters in nearby cities such as Zurich and  Lucern.

Ever since then, his preferred musical direction has been progressive hard trance, in which he has become regionally known for his expertise. He has since 1995 been internationally successful in England, Germany, Austria, France, Italy and the USA. For over 3 years now, one can find Steff Bruin in various studios all over Europe. In 2000 he went into a partnership with the London DJ C.Smooth. The jointly formed label “Binary State Recordings” was the result of their collaboration and now Steff Bruin stands for the finest hard trance. With names such as “P.A.R.D.O.X.” and the track “B.A.S.S.!!!!!”  he’s setting out to reach for the stars. “P.A.R.D.O.X.” entered 7th place on the top sale list of the record label Music Mail (D). The largest German music trend magazine “Raveline” awarded “B.A.S.S.!!!!!” with 4 Stars. The track was shown for a whole month in numerous European TV Channels. Various top DJ’s such as DJ Scott Project from Overdose, Warmduscher and Melanie di Tria of Tracid Traxx and also Brooklin Bounce or Graham Gold of Kiss FM (UK) played the recording on their stations.

Steff Bruin’s success is growing as a result of the remix “BIN002 B.A.S.S. Pt2 (If Madonna calls)“ and he is being noticed internationally.
